About the Author

Pearl Z. Armeni is the author of A Song of Sparrows and Starlight, her first venture into the world of middle-grade to lower YA fantasy and science fiction. Hailing from the little Mediterranean island of Malta, she has a lifelong passion for storytelling, recognised in various writing competitions such as Re-Visiting the Mediterranean. Some of her works have been published in ANTAE, the University of Malta’s literary journal and Aġenzija Żgħażagħ's selective writing programme, CHIASMUS. When she isn’t writing, Pearl can often be found travelling to extraordinary places, playing video games alongside her younger brother, or unwinding with a warm mug of

tea and a cheesy romcom anime.
